Pre School

In the Pre-School room this is where we start preparing the children ready for school. The planning will start to take a more focused learning apporach and look at the areas that your child will need when starting school. The structure of the room will be similiar to what you would expect in a classroom, but they will still be learning through play.

What Your Child Will Learn in Preschool...

Your child's first years of school are filled with many great moments. It's a time of social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development, and it can come and go before you know it. The skills learnt at this stage : knowing what sounds the letter A makes or adding 2 + 2. This may seem simple but they will set your child up for a lifetime of learning. Pre School may look like all fun and games (music, storytime, dancing, art) but there's an intense amount of brainwork going on. Young children learn through play and creative activity, so your preschooler's building blocks and train tracks aren't just entertaining; they're teaching problem solving and physics. Preschool is also a time for developing good learning habits and positive self-esteem.

The main areas that Pre School Bumbles B will focus on are:

- Letters and sounds

- Colours, shapes and objects

- Numbers and counting

- Socialising and sharing

Of course with these there is also all other areas that we look into and we make sure we encourage as much fun as possible when learning through play.

We also have been starting to look at 'the little learners' approach. So we have more natural and homely objects throughout the nursery to spark our little one's imagination. It has been proven successful so far at Bumbles B as the children love to explore with everyday items.
